I am an academic and a mental health professional, and you can probably tell from my subject matter.
Sometimes I write with purpose; sometimes I write to defy purpose. Usually, what I write has a large personal significance that becomes obscured, even to me, as I express them in words. Expression allows me to forget, in other words, and the more I write the less there is left of me... Some day, when I have written myself all out, I will be free.
Also, I am a terrible proofreader and a compulsive rephraser. Everything I post will be a "work in progress".
Thank you!
Influences (not in any order): Audre Lorde, Douglas Adams, Alexander Pushkin, John Steinbeck, Mary Shelley, Norton Juster, Adrienne Rich, Nikolai Gogol, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Franz Kafka, Hélène Cixous, Salman Rushdie, Alice Walker, Korean legends and folk tales, Emily Dickinson, etc.
