Kathy was one of the first recipients of the Patrick Henry Writing Scholarship at Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana. She has also served as vice-president of The Writing Academy, a national Christian writer's group. She served for 18 months as a member of the Local Voices Panel of The Cincinnati Enquirer, and continues in lay leadership in the Presbyterian Church.

Kathy is currently working on a sequel to His Name is Joel, entitled Autism & Alleluias: Lessons from an Unlikely Teacher. She is also looking for a publisher for her young adult novel, Starcatcher.

The Writing Academy
The Writing Academy has been instrumental in my development as a writer, and in helping me to get published. I highly recommend their yearly seminars as well as their correspondence courses.
