I began writing at an early age based on my mom's love of language (and music) and on rhymes I would compose on my own or in alternating lines with my dad (and sometimes mom).
I studied rhetoric and creative writing in my high school and college years, earning my bachelor's degree in English literature from Illinois State University in 1978.
My single greatest influence as a writer and as a creative individual is Dr. John Diamond, M.D., who I consider to be the foremost authority on the underlying purpose of the Arts in the world. I believe his work will one day be recognized as one of the deepest and most important contributions to our cultural and spiritual evolution of this era.

David is the author of five books - two volumes of poetry, one children's health book and two books on natural health. He is also the editor of a book about organic foods. As the Director of Publications for Vital Health Publishing/ Enhancement Books, he oversees the production of books related to health through nutrition and ecology, and through
creativity and the Arts.
David has published his poetry in numerous journals, won awards for his poetry and photography, and participated in numerous readings and book-related radio and television shows. He has been quoted in cover stories for the New York Times, the London Daily Mail and has appeared in, or written, several other newspaper and magazine articles. He was recently listed in Cahner's Who's Who for the Millennium.
