My dream is to create a world of bucket fillers by teaching children early in life how very easy and rewarding it is to express kindness, appreciation and love on a daily basis. I do this through my book, Have You Filled a Bucket Today? and through school assemblies, teacher workshops and adult seminars. As an early childhood specialist and educator, I understand that children need love. However, receiving love is not enough. We also need to love others or we will not be happy. Loving others fills our own bucket and makes us happy. The bucketfilling concept is the best antidote to a a selfish, self-centered life. Bucket fillers are other-centered. Bullies are bucket dippers and have an empty bucket. The bucketfilling life is a happy and rewarding life.

Published in June 2006, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" received three First Place Awards for Best Children's Picture Book in 2007: The 2007 Mom's Choice Award in the Behavior Category, the 2007 Writer's Digest Award and the 2007 DIY Book Festival Award. It also received an Honorable Mention from the 2007 London Book Festival.
