I was born in London in the early 60s and grew up in a hard neighbourhood. My parents divorced when I was young and the area we moved to ended up being a place of persecution, prejudice, battle, sometimes poverty and eventual triumph over the neighbours and circumstances. From the age of 10 years old because of family connections our lives were disrupted many times by police harassment and threats.
