As a kid I was fascinated by East Asian culture - and still am. To me East Asian people were really cool. I loved the look of their eyes, tanned skin colour, thick black hair... but it was more than that too. Their culture was fascinating - far more so than my own - and the few Chinese and Korean people I'd met were the kind of people I strive to emulate today. As a writer I hope my love for all things East Asian is evident. My characters invariably are Chinese or Korean and will be, I think, for the time to come. more...
