Rita and Raymond’s Arctic adventures is my second book dealing with the north, where I spent 33 years as a manager on scientific research projects, ice surveys, and search and rescue missions.. Where Cold Winds Blow (Penumbra Press, 2004) chronicled my experience and included my observations of demographic and environmental changes . It also gave me the opportunity to understand and appreciate the Inuit: their ways and traditions. It was my inspiration to write Rita and Raymond’s Arctic Adventures .
