I first decided I wanted to be a writer after winning a short story contest in the fourth grade, the first time in my life I ever truly felt good about myself. Science fiction is my genre of choice, with Isaac Asimov being my greatest influence (others include Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Harlan Ellison, and Alan Moore).
