A poor aptitude for math combined with a love of live music brought me to writing. Not wanting to take any math classes, I majored in journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Shortly after graduating I saw a fellow alumni at a B.B. King concert taking notes. I discovered he was writing a review for a local entertainment weekly and found out how I too could get free concert tickets.
