Influences?
Currently, my work tends to be very political-allegorical (a la my personal hero George Orwell) with a Lovecraftian bent when necessary. I also maintain a great love of science-fiction, in particular the works of HG Wells, Arthur C Clarke and Robert A Heinlein.
Motivation?
Ideas. When you've got an idea shuttling around at 200 miles a second in your frontal lobes, at some point you've got to let it out. I was never very good at music, I was never an artist, but I've always been able to write.
