I have been writing stories and poetry from the age of eight, under the tutelage of my mother, freelance writer JoAnn Unger. I have had poems published in anthologies and local newspapers. I am in the process of submitting some of my short stories for publication, and one YA novel. In the meantime, I'm working on a YA fantasy series set in my hometown in the Southern California desert.
I have been deeply influence since childhood by such authors as Madeleine L'Engle, Ursula LeGuin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Michael Ende, Anne McCaffery, Robin McKinley and Patricia McKillip. In more recen more...
