Don Newman
Born in Savannah, GA (1959), I grew up around some of the most most beautiful sites and important places in our state's history. Failing to realize the cultural value of this rich heritage, I went out into the world to "find myself"--as so many members of my generation were fond of saying/doing. Even so, as I matured (grew older & wiser) I eventually appreciated the often tumultuous past of the Southeastern and Coastal regions of Georgia, especially Savannah, and how much that past had influenced my life.
