Kate Aaron was born in Liverpool and lives in Cheshire, England, with two dogs who won't behave, a parrot that won't talk, and a tank of fish that won't even acknowledge her unless it's dinnertime.
She writes fantasy and contemporary novels and short stories with a queer twist. She has a BA in English Language and Literature, and an MA in Gender, Sexuality and Culture, both from the University of Manchester. When not writing fiction she writes on queer theory, history and culture.
