I am an author in the tradition of Edgar Allan Poe, that is, the short story in its purest form, neither dominated by lengthy verbiage or unnecessary plots and story constructs, but rather exempliflied by the main points that Poe made clear, specifically "the unity of effect or impression."
Other influences would include H.P. Lovecraft's more Gothic stories; an excellent example of this would be "The Outsider."
I also write dark fantasy, though to a lesser extent, and writers who have been influential for me in this regard would include Angela Cart more...
