David R. Davis
David grew up in San Antonio, Texas where he spent many hours in the hall for drawing during arithmetic lessons. He copied Herblock political cartoons out of the Sunday paper to learn cartooning. He was influenced most of all by his beloved Texas grandfather, Raymond Lacy (1905-1997). David loved movies and reading books like "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and "Cross Creek" with a flashlight at night. Will Eisner is his favorite cartoonist.
