I was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1965. Probably the most major influence on my life was being born a clairvoyant. I write extensively about my ghostly encounters, which also colors some of my fiction. The other major influences in my life include historical reenacting, both Civil War and Revolutionary War, which had a major impact on my decision to become a writer. Reenacting is an incredibly personal experience. Through my writing, I’d like to make people experience history the way I did and have empathy for those who gave their so that we could be free.
