I have many influences in writing. We develop, as writers, from authors whose work we love. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and that is never more true than a new writer who admires whom they consider to be a literary great.
I started out adoring the works of King, Poe, and Koontz. As I've developed, my reading has covered more genres. I now include the works of such writers as Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell. I love reading which you can learn something from.
