Gil Hinshaw is an author-historian whose home is in New Mexico where he has edited four of the state's daily newspapers. His creative output includes four novels and four histories and numerous essays and poetry. Although born in Akron, Ohio, he spent his early years in Tennessee where he was educated, majoring in literature and history. He also attended the Alliance Francaise in Paris, France.
