I grew up in a natural wilderness park in North Vancouver, BC, Canada, called Lynn Canyon Park. My parents, at that time were the caretakers of the 612 acre park and ran a store, a food concession, and a gift shop for the thousands of visitors who enjoyed the park each year. A rainforest of giant one-hundred year old Douglas-fir, hemlock, and red cedars, surrounded the family’s home.
