Having overcome many obstacles in my life, I started writing as a way of healing. Through sharing some of my work with a few close to me, I found that my words also inspired and motived them. Although we all had different exteriors, the pain, love, joy and fears we shared internally were similar in so many ways. It was a realization to us all that we were not alone in our battles and that keeping silent put a smile on our face but left the burden on our souls.
