I grew up on the Southside of Chicago, in some of the roughest communities that most people see on television. Writing was one of the ways i escaped negativity. In the third grade, my teacher gave me a journal, and i wrote in it extremely well. By the fifth grade, my mother purchased me a typewriter and that was the beginning of an inspiring author.
