I started writing my senior year of high school. It literally took months to complete that first poem. I scribbled frantically that first night to get it all down, and then constantly reread it, tweaking it until I was satisfied. I took a great deal of time off from writing after getting married, but now, I've been married almost 5 years (to a wonderful man in the USAF), and have an amazing 2 year old son who never ceases to amaze or challenge me.
