James 'Gus' Filegar

Civil War amateur historian for seventeen years. I guess, I would have to say a major influence was my oldest brother, and the fact I grew up during the cold war. I now present, in first person, the life of a Union Soldier, 1862-1865, that fought with the Twentieth Maine Regiment. His name: Nathan Small Clark. A lot of my writing is created through this citizen soldiers 'mind'. Though I have never met him in the physical sense, I have through the writng in his diary.Also, I have spent many hours on Civil War battlefields, the last ten years, from Gettysburg to Antietam, Cold Harbor, Peter more...
