I was born the only girl in the midst of four brothers to very strict, but loving parents. From my earliest memories of childhood I sensed invisible presenses around me, although, I never actually saw anything I would at that time call a ghost. Frequently, as a child upon awakening in the middle of the night I would see an old lady with short gray hair, pulled back behind her ears and held there with bobby pins. She was a large framed woman, with a plump smiling face, who as I stared at her would just seem to fade away. Frightened , I'd pull the blankets over my head and fall more...
