I'm honored and thrilled that the editor of THREE CANDLES not only accepted and published this story, but nominated it for the award. From THREE CANDLES website: "Three Candles has featured new work by a World War II bomber pilot, a junk store curator, two Pulitzer prize nominees, three poets who have appeared in The Best American Poetry, a stay-at-home dad, two National Book Award winners, a Pushcart Prize winner, several Pushcart Prize nominees, a major in the Marines, English professors, editors of prominent electronic and print journals, a gardener, poetry students, a first-published poet, and scores of others from all walks of life." My short story is in good company!
