Skills and knowledge are essential, but they're not the only indicators of your success. Some professions require more skill than ability, but more often than not, your ability to learn is more important than the skills you have. Skills can be limiting if you rely on them, but your potential is unlimited when you have the ability and the motivation to do something. When people rely on their skills, they often miss out on opportunities. The author didn't have skills to rely on, so she had to look for them. She needed a chance to prove herself. She will be forever grateful to those who trusted her ability to learn, develop skills, and become successful. Continue to learn and develop new skills for the rest of your life. You can earn a high salary and still fell unsuccessful if you haven't reached your goals. Success means different things to different people. Lifestyle, contributing to society and personal achievement can be just as motivating as money to some people. It's important to determine what motivates you. If you rely on your knowledge or skill, you may miss out on other opportunities. Your ability to adapt and do well in many different areas is the key to your success.
