I made it to church this morning, praise the Lord, and now Sister Evelyn and I are alternating, so I had them for Sunday School this week, and then they went in to the main service for the song service, and Sister Evelyn had them for Childrens Church, it looks like we will be alternating, which is nice, so we will both be able to hear the service. The sermom was basically on being born ordinary but through Christ we can do extraordinary things, which was awesome to hear, and then he talked about how the workers of the church even when they are not noticed are needed, even if they dont seem to be appreciated. He even talked about how important the Childrens Ministy was to the church, and I could not help but feel good, because he was saying how he appreciated us. He also talked about how we had to step out of the box, to serve God, and how he believed the gift of helps could be one of the most important gifts we have.
At the end of the service, I had to step out and went to stand in with Sister Evelyn, because I was getting stiff, so I watched how she taught, and really liked the way she did things, gave me some ideas. Then after church we talked and she told me how it is evident that I was a woman of faith, I was grateful for that, although I do not want to look to the worlds approval, I do want to be a testimony to others. I also appreciate her feedback, because she was a Pastor for years herself and I am grateful for that.
After church I took the kids to Trick or Treat Street. It was hot, over eighty three degrees, and the end of October, go figure, but this is California.
