as your retinas adjust to the screen
your beautiful eyes reading these words
or even your ears hearing them if you cannot see
your fingers touching them if you cannot hear. . . .
because however your form may be
there's this soul inside that is as true as can be
and with your skin reacting
your tongue tasting
your lips smiling
or your nose smelling
I will never know the thoughts in your head
original and ever mysterious - like no other
I hope you can feel
that whoever you are
I love you
and you are so amazing.
no matter what the society
the media
a girl at the store
or anyone has to say
let yourself shake this off and remember how you've always known
remember that you are great.
