The Path To Peace
At a time when the sounds of hatred are filling the media and the cyberspace, I have the urge to share my thoughts with whoever reads my words. Alas, the hatred spreads wherever it finds weakness and bad faith.
I noticed that the spontaneous reactions from politicians and from people are leading us to certain hasty conclusions and sometimes nasty ones. Sometimes we forget that we are one nation under God.
Some people are fighting our fellow Americans with the same fervor and tenacity as if they were fighting our enemies, sometimes, for the love of a party or sometimes for the love of our country.
Certain negative statements from political leaders or journalists should not discourage us, nor blur the vision of our path of wisdom and peaceful future. Those who think they are defending our country should ask themselves if by doing so they are not interfering with any action that those in charge are trying to take for the sake of our entire nation.
Sometimes leaders with or without intention can cause an irreparable damage to our soldiers and to the nation. Those who think they project the future, in reality can be mistaken and sometimes they are no longer around to see the results of their actions, if they were successful or not.
The consequences can be beneficial or disastrous. It does not matter who is right and who is wrong, we are in the middle of a war and amidst entire nations, which are called Iraq and Afghanistan. For the sake of the human race and for the sake of our children we have to help these two nations find their freedom and peace as our fathers did it for us.
