ON BEING PI

            No, I don’t mean the Greek letter, or the number 3.141----; by PI, I mean Politically Incorrect. Robert Heinlein was once quoted as saying that if “everyone” believed something, it was probably untrue . I have found his observation to be frequently accurate, although not universal.

            In my book, “Dear Madman”, I have added to my lifelong habit of goring sacred cows of all persuasions. I am writing a series of short stories, some of which I shall post here. I am afraid that most of them will be wildly PI, but I trust that if you are offended, I will hear from you, and that you will continue to read, if only to see me poke at your least favorite shibboleth! Not a few of them, for sure, will be very noir, others rather light. Whichever, please let me hear from you, dear readers, offended or delighted.John, author, "Dear Madman"
