The holiday season is suppose to be a festive and happy occassion. However for many it is the complete opposite and filled with a whole lot of sadness anger, resentment,and depression.
People may feel these negative feelings due to loneliness, a loss of someone or for very many other reasons.
Every single person who resides on our planet has the right to be happy, but it takes a lot of work to find this happiness and it takes the effort of yourself to work towards achieving it.
If you are constantly struggling to find this peace and happiness within yourself, take little baby steps each and every day that push you forward towards a positive environment. If you are surrounded by negativity all the time, this can and will bring you down and keep you down. You always need to try and keep the negativity and people who are negative away from you. Try surrounding yourself with more positive people.
Here are a few small baby steps to help you start finding happiness. Sometimes it doesn't happen overnight, but with ongoing effort it can make a world of difference. When you see people or pass them by say hello to them and give them a smile (no matter how hard it is for you to do this), this positive energy will start to revolve around you and you might be pleasantly surprised when someone you might not even know, says hello back and/or smiles back at you. Say thank you to someone for something they've done. This shows appreciation and gratefulness. This again is positive energy and positive reinforcement.
If you're the type of person who gets angry when someone cuts you off on the street, or if you're stuck in a traffic jam, don't get mad because it won't get you through the traffic any faster. It will just bring on more negativity. Deal with it and know that it will keep you positive. When we can't deal with things, it's usually because we're so angry all the time. To get rid of this anger we have to find things that will make us happy. Take steps each and every day to make you happy. If you don't do it, no one else can do this for you. You are the only one responsible for finding your own happiness.
It is also very important to love yourself. If you can't tell yourself that you love yourself, then this is the first thing you have to learn to achieve. Ask yourself why you don't love yourself and then stop doing the things that you don't like that you do. If you don't stop those things, you will constantly have a hard time to make these changes. No matter how hard it is. Tell yourself that you are worthy of being happy and that you deserve it. When you tell yourself that you don't deserve it, then you won't get it happiness. Everyone deserves to be happy! And so do you.
So don't forget to smile, say hello to people and appreciate someone. If we are grateful for what you have and recognize this, then a whole new positive environment will evolve around us and we will and can be happy once again.
Smile.....it will do your body good!:) Be happy, because you do deserve it!!
