Mitt Romney’s Story (About Stopping Work At His Company And Flying His Employees To New York To Set Up A ‘Command Center’ To Find An Employee’s Missing Child) Is Revealed To Be A Total Fabrication.
Mitt Romney and his election campaign staff have been spreading a story throughout the media that has turned out to be a piece of complete fiction. The story is basically that at some point in the past, when Mitt Romney was running a private corporation, one of his employees had a missing child in New York. Romney stopped all work at the company and flew all his employees to New York City where he set up a “command center.” From this command center, he led his company employees in a campaign to find the missing child, who was found in a matter of a few days thanks to Romney’s efforts, showing him to be a brave and decisive leader in an emergency. This story, however, has been uncovered to be a fraud. No part of it is true . Mitt Romney never stopped work at his company to help an employee, never flew employees to New York, never set up a “command center” and never headed a group to help find a missing child. This entire story is make-believe from beginning to end. It is expected, though, that the story will continue to be spread in the form of rumor, innuendo and legend and that Romney will eventually disown it and deny having ever supported the story. He is on record confirming the story and approving a television spot describing the fictional incident.
