This is what most books are about today. It's either this formula or follow these steps and you will succeed.
Well, I have been reading motivational and inspirational books for over 30 years and I am not any closer to that elusive place called success than I was then. Let me clue you in on something. Success is not a place, but a process. If you are waiting to get to a certain place or position to say-I am successful now, then you have it all wrong. I heard it said back when I was a teenager and I still remember the statement that a well-known business man made. He said that success is a progressive realization of accomplishing worthy ideals or goals.
Do you set goals and then achieve them? Well, you can call yourself successful. Even though you may not live in a 5000 square foot house or drive a luxury vehicle, you can make the decision to be successful today. You do not have to wait until you have reached this high point in your career.
Set a goal and purposely accomplish it. It could be that you have set a goal to be at work on time for 30 consecutive days. Maybe you want to keep your desk clean at work to eliminate clutter and find things easier. You do not have to waste hours every week looking for things. Make the decision to bring order to your life. Any step that you make toward order will make your life more peaceful.
