My condition has let me reach out to them in ways I may not have been able to otherwise, so my prayer is this.

"Bless me in my pain, and let me use it to glorify you."

There so often is a stigma, stuck on to those with disabilities, I can not count the times I was asked why the Lord hasnt healed me, and when he doesnt I am made to feel as if my faith is not strong enough but the fact is this has made me stronger. I know now how to lean on the Lord in my weakness because I have experienced that before.

About ten years ago I was reading Joni's book where she talked about how she had battled with why she wasn't healed after that dive left her a quadrapalegic, but now she has learned to use the disability in a positive way, and reach out to others in a process.

Does that mean she never wonders, never questions I doubt it?

Does that mean I never have the why me moments, yes of course I have, but I know the Lord is here in this.

Mattie Stephanek the young poet, with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy who died in 04 summed it up this way.

"Better me than a little baby who does not understand."

The Lord has used my words, and what I have gone through to help others, so I know my suffering is not in vain, and I know that one day I will be giving a new body.

In a way I believe it helps me to reach out to others as well.

I have cousins with MD, I pray for there physical and spirtual healing.

I have friend with MD, I pray for there physical and Spirtual healing.

I have friends with SB,

Friends with Arthritis,

Friends who are deaf

Friends who are hurting

Friends who are physically fit, but friends who need a touch of the Spirit.

I have friends who are with the Lord.

My condition has let me reach out to them in ways I may not have been able to otherwise, so my prayer is this.

"Bless me in my pain, and let me use it to glorify you."

I close with this promise from Isaiah:

"I will rise up with wings as eagles, I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not faint."

And I will continue to praise the Lord even through my pain.

Your beautiful heart and soul shines through your deep caring. You are truly blest! I believe that it is human to question, but through divine intervention we can rise above it and be grateful for what we have. You are a testiment to God's love.

God bless you. Kathy
