This article is written around the children's story, "Wishes Granted," a fairytale storybook. We grew up with Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty; now, we have Mackelfee and Eunice, another fairytale love story.
I believe in fairy tales and make believe; at my age, what is wrong with that? When reality gets you down, it good to know that you have some place you can go, where purple dragons fly and pink unicorns talk, chasing your blues away.
Sometimes, life can be harsh, and the world not so pleasant; however, when you sit down with a good book and step into the fantasy realm of wizards and wishes, or pumpkins growing abundantly in the yards of imaginary creatures, or you are dancing under the light of the moon; you soon find out that no matter how bad things may look at the moment, it all works out in the end, because after all, fairy tales always have happy conclusions.
Do we not like happy endings in real life too? We just have to work together to obtain that bliss.
