This articletrystomake suggestion forward in the coming presedential election coming up in America. I believe a synergy between Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama, might bring victory to the democrats and again help settle some of the discrimations, segregations and other form of oppression going on in America and the world over.
Why not Hillary / Obama for the White House
By Ahmed Dodo
As a keen observer of the current political competitions going on in America, the world second longest democracy, I am compelled to as a writer and an Africa voiced out my concern about the reality that could bring about a true representation of democracy in this global age of interracial synergy.
The fact that the Republican Party that has been fortunate to be in power for the past eight years , has not only failed the American people , but the whole World in general , should give the Democrats the natural edge to ensure that the party provide the next occupant of the White House. But events going on in the past few days between their two popular candidates I believe is not helping matter; neither would it bring the more desire long awaited change the American electorates have long been yarning for.
As an African, it would be my greatest joy to see a Black President one day in America, on that day I tell you I will be among the billions of the black race that will roll out their drums and dance sensationally with excitement across the jungle of Africa and blow our trumpets victoriously across our borders. But again as a keen follower of history I knew deep inside me that that might take some long years to come, given the reality on ground, and I am someone who believe in reality and love using my common sense to know what might be or not and the colour that truth has always boldly carries. The reality I have long understand is that it would actually take another years of understanding, interacting and more sharing of equality in American before this dream could ever become reality. So I would rather hold on to my drums and see the probability of a Hillary and Obama in the White House. The white race I have come to understand would always want to be in the number one position, with the black race following behind as usual, so the reality of a black man as president I tell you is far from being a reality, despite their contribution to the development and empowerment of America and the Whiteman’s love for supremacy which he his yet to fully discard.
I want to call on the American blacks to embrace this reality and ensure that at least we hold the second position as the next Vice President of the most powerful nation on earth, believing that some day , some how, the Blackman shall take his rightful position at the ripe time.
I can see an opportunity for the democrats to come together in respective of colour, class or race and help chase the failed republicans out of the White House and enshrine the true democracy the oppressed people of the world are long yeaning for.
A democracy where the voice of the people will remain the voice of God, human beings respected and their rights part of the freedom struggle. It is time to understand that the world under the republicans is being pushed to a catastrophic third world war, as being openly canvassed by Mr. Bush and his allies, who see nothing wrong in the numbers of human life being brutally wasted everyday across the world, from Iraq, to Somalia, Dafur Palestine and other part of the Asia world. I believe the world need the presidency of Hillary and Obama to help build the division of ideas, relationship and racial equality being encouraged by the republican government world wide, especially in America where the other races are still subjected to different forms of segregation, inequality and discrimination. The Hillary/Obama ticket I believe could bring world peace and understanding of each other across the world be you a Latino, Spanish, India, Chinese, African or whatever colour you unconsciously find yourself. So democrats why not wisely merge Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama as the next president and vice president the American electorate will unfailingly vote for and the whole world will gladly join me and other Africans in gyrating to the sound of our drums as we celebrate the emergence of true democracy and the road to real equality in the world.
