Our beloved Chequita dies of heart failure
First we thought that our beloved chiuauha turned finicky, did not like the food in her plate. After trying seven Caesars with different flavors, and she turned her nose the other way, when she drank gallons of water, we took her to the vet. She has had a heart condition, mitral stenosis, could not properly circulate her blood, cumulated ascites(water in her abdomen), the vet taped the drew out the water, placed her on Endocard and a diuretic, recommended ultrasound, X-rays, but never warned us that she only had a few hours to live. If she would have, we would not have spent five hundred dollars in desperate attempt to save her, next day the water was back in her abdomen, she refused food, stood on her four legs, did not move, looked at us with her beautiful, intelligent suffering eyes, expected us to do something, we finally understood that she had enough of suffering. Euthanasia early in the morning made us say goodbye to Chequita.
