An Unusual Dream:  The Bamboo People
[visions of a  ~burning woman~ ]
Most dreams (I have them every night, often in series) I don't recount because they are  personal lessons, but this one might be of interest to some.
It begins on an alien planet which I will call 'planet X' where I meet several very slim (oddly slim!) humanoid male individuals who tower a couple of feet over me.  They are completely naked, hairless and their skin is uniformly dark beige and very smooth as I find out as they keep putting my hands on their bodies so I can feel them.  They obviously enjoy the energy exchange.  For those who wonder, it is not sexual at all.
Then I'm by myself, wandering along a rough roadway or path in what seems to be a rather primitive village.  There is no sign of any technology around.  I notice that everything is bordered by a tall fence that looks like it's made of vertical cedar boards whose widths and spacing is irregular but tight enough I can't see through.  I ask one of the people if I could go beyond the fence.  He smiles and the fence opens to reveal a very Earth-like landscape of hillsides covered in small and sparse white poplars or quaking aspen as some call them.  I wander amongst these spindly trees but sense something is not quite right.  As I turn around the fence reappears and I realize I'd been fooled by a clever illusion.  They had picked the image out of my mind.
I keep walking in a northerly direction and come to a shack where another Earthian is working at a small table.  He wears a plaid shirt and blue jeans and by his tools and demeanor I assume he is an anthropologist.   He barely notices me and keeps on working.  There are some young planet X people with him watching him work with his computers.  I ask them how I could get through the fence to see more of the place.  They look at each other conspiratorially and one of them extends a very long arm and hits one of the vertical boards.  It swings freely on a loose nail at its top.  They quickly leave the room as I slip through the opening and come upon a dense forest of clumps of young bamboo shoots, none more than one inch in diameter.
I can't get through them so I return to the room beyond the fence and close the opening.
When I woke up I kept working this strange "vision" in my mind, trying to figure out the message.  Took a while but I got it.  The bamboo "forest" was their nursery.  These strange looking people were what I will now call "bamboo people" who simply grew out of the clusters or bunches of bamboo and somehow became humanoid in adulthood.
The message?  It is time we learned to accept that in our visions, or in the visions of some of our mystics, prophets and many ordinary people, we will be shown glimpses of life on other worlds.  We can continue to write off these visions as wild imagination, meaning we have no control over what comes to our minds, or we can broaden our understanding of life beyond the dead-end clap-trap we've been fed by religion, government, business, science, philosophy or whatever there be that claims to know better than us as individuals.
This is a time of great crisis but of even greater opportunity for the people of Earth.  We can accept the challenges brought on by our dreams and visions or we can continue to ignore our personal knowledge in favour of that of our leaders... and we already know where THAT is leading us.
Whom should I believe?  Me -- the 'traveler' in or beyond space/time looking for answers to question never answered satisfactorily or not yet asked?
Or those who have lorded it over me since time immemorial to use me, abuse me, make me lie and kill for them, and die for them?  Where is the legacy for such blind trust today?
Are there people who grow themselves as 'trees' from seeds until they are old enough to break free of the soil to learn to walk on it... to communicate via word language and live humanoid communal lives?  My vision says there are.
Can a vision lie?  Sure it can, but not at the very first.  Any vision can become a lie after it has been co-opted by the System and turned into an institutional belief.  Is that a fair assessment of what goes on here?

I too had a dream of being surrounded by bamboo's. I was lying down with my boyfriend and I couldn't figure out where we were or why it was important. I knew from a feeling in my abdomen upon awakening that it was indeed important. Perhaps this ties in with what you were seeing too.

You probably hooked into the communal consciousness of an alien world in your nightly travels. With an opened minded free thinker that you are there is just no telling where your mind will get to. Awesome "dream". Liz

A dream of dreamers. Its filled with imagination, yet choices which can be made. Its up to us to make changes and get it done some how, some way. The system is logged with red tape and self important people who intreprut things the way they want them to be. Its hard to win. Good write....M

Interesting dream, are you sure you were not night traveling? Dreams can represent many different things or even just a different dimension or level of existence. :)

Some excellent observations. I really enjoyed your vision - much to digest. I am always on some vision quest, so I enjoy views like these. What does it mean? I think you are in the best position to elucidate the meaning - it was your vision! I wonder if visions can lie, or that our own reality rather skew it. Very best wishes as always. Willie

This indeed is an unusual dream filled with interest, mystery, and suspense with visionary value for those who believe the mind can measure time beyond the present.

In comparson to my dreams, yours are equivalent to a movie, while mine are short clips--that I wish I could remember. Nice story! Hold onto your beliefs. Everything that happens in this world begins with a thought.

I take your dreams seriously, being the creative and unusual man you are: and you got me to thinking from this quote:
"Whom should I believe? Me -- the 'traveler' in or beyond space/time looking for answers to question never answered satisfactorily or not yet asked?

Or those who have lorded it over me since time immemorial to use me, abuse me, make me lie and kill for them, and die for them? Where is the legacy for such blind trust today?"
Besides the usual message of being lorded over by a government that tries to silence criticism and brainwash it's citizens - science too, becomes a tool of tryanny despite the good it does, but refusing any knowledge outside it's theoretical framework - i.e.> science still refuses to study consciousness - So your Anthropologist in the dream is significant, perhaps respresenting all the prejudice that keeps us hemmed in. I've been reading research for my new novel: "The Golden Flute" from the Ancient Sumerian Myths of Mesopotamia (circa 4000B.C. I think) I'm convinced that those they called the "Anunnaki" were civilizers from some other time or place interacting with these simple people who showed such promise of a civilization - I do beleive we did not evolve to where we are alone, without help.
But those are just some of the thoughts your articles inspire....
best to you, michael

My first thought at the into description-"they" are symbolic of a penis probably his.
Hey I'm being serious here :)
lol sorry, but that is what I got from that part. Anyway life as we know it is usually what we see with the humane eye. Now as for me I firmly believe in things that cannot be seen. Just because we don't see it Does not mean it doesn't exist. It can be defined many ways. But the spirit or other realms are there. We are spirits & we are energy fields so to speak. I can feel people. Aura's are real to us that see them & not real to those who don't.
I am always interested in dreams.

Interestign dream indeed Reg and one I am sure the dream analyzers would have a field day with but the beauty of it is you get to decide what it means to you.

This is a fascinating read. I like the way your deep thinking abilities lead you to further thought and analysis of this dream. Many would wake up and say "What the...?" and leave it at that. I've had dreams about alien life, but they have always involved an invasion here on Earth. The details usually consume my mind for days just because they always seem so realistic. Nicely written and provocative:)

Plant-life becoming humanoid? You ARE a nature lover, Reg! Of course, many of us would agree with you.
"...Earth-like landscape of hillsides..." revealed by images picked from your mind. And don't we do this now when reading poetry or stories of nature, or close our eyes in remembrance of beautiful scenery we've once viewed in our youth; when our minds produce/reproduce serene visions to cleanse our stresses of life?
Our minds, whether awake or dreaming, are often our best healer.
Love to read your articles, friend Reg...always makes me reflect...

Wow you didn't dream you had an adventure! I do believe we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We would be lucky to even have a half of a percent of all the knowledge that this vast universe holds. Which brings me to the realization that all those other "percents" of knowledge are held by a higher power which I CHOOSE to believe is God and trusting Him when He says -- My Ways Are Higher Than Your Ways, My Thoughts Higher Than Your Thoughts.....and also brings to mind that verse in Revelation that states in the last days -- Young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams..............Deborah:)

It has been said, we create our dreams. Bits and pieces of each days experiences, thoughts, reflections or things we have witnessed. These are the brains way of defragmenting. Strange how the mind house cleans just as our computer does. Taking bits and pieces of information which have been stored apart from one another. I loved the write.
God Bless,
