Brief description of the Penanggalan

The Penanggalan are said to be female witches with the ability to detach their heads from the rest of their bodies.  Able to fly with the internal organs danglng, the Penanggalan feed on the blood of children and pregnant women.  In order for the Penanggalan to re-attach its head to its body, it requires supplies of vinegar to enable the internal organs to be placed back inside the body.
