Multicultural Literature Advocacy Group (MLAG), through our Living In Color Literary Awards, strives to support literacy and bring recognition to authors of books written by and about people of color, depicting contemporary life in the United States of America. We honor and promote these authors by rewarding the literary excellence of their work.
“Ruins of a Society and the Honorable,” Authored by Al Bermudez Pereira, won the Literary Award for 2009 Best Autobiography/Biography. Award announcement and presentations will be held at the 2010 Annual Multicultural Literary Conference, Mobile Convention Center, One South Water Street. Mobile, AL 36602, August 2010.
