Another great review!!

                                                                                                  THE REVIEW: 


 
The Forest Portal by Melody Dempsey is a story about three main characters, Cameron (Cam), Collette (his younger sister), and Taden (a friend), who upon the last day of school venture into a forest. With the use of a sealant that turns out to be a peculiar paint, they discover the sealant turns wood into rainbow colors and in the midst of the forest, they paint trees which transform into a portal that can transport them to another time and another place.

 
It is an interesting concept with easy to read language. The main characters journey on many adventures which will be intriguing to a young adult audience. The dialogue is simple and appropriate for the age and there are plenty of twists and action in the story to keep the reader engaged.   

 
It was a unique concept that I found delightful to read. If you are looking for an easy read with interesting twists and other dimensions, this novel may be just what you are searching for!
