Have you ever sat down to watch the sun set? I have many times. To me it is the most beautiful thing ever. In March I went to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary. Every night my husband and I sat in our balcony and watched the sun set. It was a very special time for us. For six consecutive nights we did that as we sipped on a glass of wine.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, we are so very thankful that we weathered all the storms. So many of our friends are now divorced. It takes a lot of sacrifices to keep a relationship healthy. We made a promise to each other that there would be no divorce and that we would stay faithful to each other. So far, so very good. We have learned to not let the anything come in the way of our relationship. We go out on a weekly date to keep our relationship strong. Sometimes couples put their children first and put their relationship last.
Learning to balance the responsibilities of being a parent coupled with what it takes to keep the spousal friendship alive is what helps keep couples together. One can't neglect either responsiblities. You have to find that balance. It is not always easy, but it can be done. I am very thankful I was able to find that balance. My dream was to have a lasting relationship, I did not want to go through with what my mom had to endure. Life can be fun! Do Not Let the Sun Set on your DREAMS! I urge you to find the will to make your dreams come true . It is never too late !
