In spite of what society may suggest, true prosperity has nothing to do with money. Obviously, in this world money is needed and can make a difference in one's life. But let's look at what prosperity is truly about. Prosperity is about feeling abundantly well in your life; an abundance of love, an abundance of health, an abundance of joy & happiness. If you have an abundance of these qualities in your life then you are prosperous. A person can have an abundance of money and still not be happy or content. It is possible to be fulfilled in life without an excess of money. It really is a matter of attitude.
Lets look a little more closely at what the essentials of life are. First, every person is entitled to have their most basic needs met to develop a healthy body. And what things are needed to have a healthy body? Well let's examine them. First we need sunlight. The sun shines on the Earth for free the same way it has for millions of years now. Water - the rain falls freely upon the Earth the same way it has for eons. And last I checked the air we breathe was free as well. Lastly and coincidentally, the same necessities we have to create a healthy body are the same essentials that every other living object on this planet needs that serve as food for our bodies. Plants, fruit, vegetables and animals have thrived on this planet for millennium. In fact, they would probably prosper even further if it were not for man's interference. As long as plants and animals have access to sun, water and air then they can grow perfectly without man's assistance.
It is man who has created the concept of "ownership" which leads to ideas of money, inflation and control of resources. But what does man truly own? NOTHING! And even inflation is an illusion because all the basic sources that create life are still free. The sun, rain and air have not gotten any more expensive in the past million years and never will. I presume if man were able to figure out how to control the sun, rain and air then someone would probably come up with the ingenious idea to start charging for those "luxuries" as well. It is man's selfishness and greed that perpetuate this desire to "control." We come into this world with only our physical forms and when we leave, we leave everything behind... even our physical forms! So all concepts of money and ownership are just temporary and are a result of man's attempt to control resources that don't truly belong to anyone other than God and the Earth!
Think about it. If I walked up to people and told them to stop breathing because I owned the air then everyone would think I was a lunatic and would laugh at me. Well, this is just as absurd as suggesting I own a tree, a river or a mountain. The only way man actually owns something is in idea and you must create a way to get others to support the idea which is why we come up with governments and laws. A certificate, land deed, contract etc are just ways to try to "lay claim" to an idea of ownership.
But man must evolve his consciousness and his thinking to see the benefits of ensuring that every person has the basic needs of food to survive and prosperous. When man is denied his most basic needs it leads to wars, famine, despair, violence, hate, disease and disharmony.
Material possessions are just a bonus on top of our basic needs. In fact, sometimes excessive possessions are more of a burden than they are a blessing. It can be helpful to try to change laws and influence governments to support life but what is easier and more effective in order to change your reality and your experience of others around you is to first change your thoughts, ideas and beliefs. If you can alter your attitude towards one of sharing and service then you tap into God's universal laws of prosperity that create an abundance of the important necessities in life - sun, water, air, friends, love and happiness. And to top it off when you give freely these things to others you shall receive even more of them ten fold!
"And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD." Leviticus 27:30
