My category, of course, is Film & Video books. The difference between the American and British lists of current bestselling books in this category is quite startling. There is virtually no correspondence between the two lists at all.
By and large, the movie books currently in favor with American fans are NOT the same as those eagerly sought by British movie lovers.
In fact, the only authors presently represented on both the USA and British lists are Roger Ebert and myself.
Roger has two books in the British top forty, at positions 21 and 35.
On the other hand, I currently hold four spots in today's British top forty, namely 11, 17, 36 and 40 itself.
Heading my list are "Science Fiction and Fantasy Cinema" (which is also my number one bestseller in the U.S.) and "Silent Films & Early Talkies on DVD".
