Well, for a change I'm not going to to be talking about cannabis, meditation or anything like that. I'm not much of a story teller, so I'll just say it like it happened.
I went to the laundry around the corner from where I live and got talking to a woman there called Eve who works behind the counter. Eve is really nice, very happy and hard working; lovely woman, you should meet her. Anyway, we were talking about restless legs and how I have them from time to time and they drive me mad, but my wife has them almost every night, starting from early evening until the early hours and they're ruining her sleep. They were actually getting more regular and more sleep-disturbing as time went on.
"Lack of sleep is no fun, I said, "If she wakes me up one more night, I'll make her sleep in the sitting room. No consideration," I said.
"Oh," said Eve. She speaks with a Bristol accent.I don't know if that will help with the story but I thought I'd say it anyway. "Oh," said Eve, "I had cramps and restless legs all blummin night for years..."
"Had?" I said.
"Yeah, " she said. "Got rid of them four years ago and they've never come back. I got some 'Calcium and Magnesium' tablets and they stopped after about four days. Over-the-counter supplements that anyone can buy at a health food shop, dead cheap. Brilliant."
Long story short, my wife doesn't have to sleep on the couch. It took about a week for the tablets to kick in completely, but they're gone. This isn't an advert for anyone in particular's tablets, I just wanted to tell anyone who needed to hear it that there does seem to be a real way to be free of restless legs syndrome. Give it a shot, it's well-worth it.
Let me know how you get on,
