An article by Sha'Tara, local writer and friend...

The Bean Salad Choice

[thoughts from      ~burning woman~      by Sha'Tara]

"A thought comes when it wants to, not when I want it to."  (Friedrich Nietzsche)

If this is true , what does that say of writers, teachers and philosophers?  That they are parrots?  Puppets on the winds of random thoughts?  Certainly, in expressing many thoughts not usually or normally expressed by the rank and file "writer" or sought by sheeple readers, I have not felt as if I were being manipulated.  Yes, I have been taught many a thing, some on this world by Earthian teachers, many more of much deeper significance, by Teachers of a more developed level of consciousness and mental evolution.  But being slapped on the side of the head by Master Wise Random Thought asking to be let in?  What would be the point, I wouldn't recognize him... or her, so would I let them in?  I need to see credentials.

This is a wide open barn door invitation to rant on with what follows.  It seems obvious to me that much of what is taught even to the simplistic information overloads dumped into desiccated brains by religious, government and private institutions, is quickly forgotten by the recipients of that questionable largesse.  Oh, some do remember the gist of things that promise fame, fortune, security, sex and gratuitously violent pleasures but certainly not much else.  They fail to absorb and quickly forget the reasons why they can hope to have successful endings to education's fairy tale promises.  They fail to absorb and quickly forget who and what makes it possible for them to hope to turn mass education's fairy tale into some semblance of reality.  They do not see the history behind the words they hear and read.  All they see is the fur, the meat, the lumber, the coal, the oil, the steel, the machine, the chemical and the lab that produces it; the technology and the science as resources and tools just there for the taking, the harnessing, the manipulating, in order to grow rich in power and control.

Power and control.  Indeed.

Which is power to control.  Whatever the cost to the planet and to others?  Absolutely.  Only wimps ask questions of conscience, or study history and literature to discover if perhaps something may be amiss in the global approach to resource exploitation.    The ends justify the means, and the lies needed to achieve those ends must be financed.  Should it cause a melt-down in the not so carefully erected edifice of greed by "Wall Street" soldiers of fortune, well, that's a cost the worker/consumer will have to bear.

The problem isn't really one of immorality, or deadened consciences on the part of the "elites" of the day (though it does lead to that).  No, the reason there is no one left to even consider taking responsibility for what is going on is quite simple.  It is in the brainwashing process that begins literally in the crib and increases in intensity with every passing year.  We all know how that is done, but we are adepts at giving the process as many handles as it takes to hide its true purpose.  It is called education.  A quasi-holy enterprise.  What brainwashing, you may ask?  I could begin by saying that the very recording of time is pure brainwashing.  Recorded time isn't any use unless you are a control freak and a manipulator.  And it's a great time of year to mention this freakish manipulation: why do they insist on keeping daylight saving time?  Does it "save" time?  Extend daylight?  As the "old Indian" quote goes, "Only a white man would believe that cutting a foot from the bottom of the blanket and sewing it to the top will result in a longer blanket."  Daylight saving time is a lie.  As is everything related to the control of what is done in the passing of a day, a week, a month, a year and so on.  Are we all so much better off because we are reminded of our birth date on a yearly basis?  Because we celebrate the "birth" of a nation?  Because we clock when to eat, when to work, when to be entertained, when to sleep?

You want more lies designed to change how people perceive their world, their neighborhood?  Tell me that political correctness has improved relationships among groupings of people globally; that this world is much better, safer, gentler than it was a mere fifty years ago.  How about all that "green consciousness" ostentatiously exhibited by corporations and government institutions?  Do you really believe it is aimed at reducing the carnage they have brought upon the environment in the guise of more and better paying jobs and lower taxes?  More brainwashing to add to the somewhat tarnished and short-lived religion of Global Warming.  Lies, lies and more lies.  And there are more, many more.  How about all that airport "security"?  Do you think it's about security?  When a system goes for the guns and the jackboots, we should, by now, know what to expect around the bend.  Are the mass implanting, the drugging to ensure obedience and the razor-wire fences that far away?

And so here it comes: the bean salad choice.  Some mornings ago, while still reliving a dream I had experienced and wandering around the kitchen in zombie mode setting up for breakfast, I put out my subconscious choice: bean salad.  I love bean salad, but as everybody knows, it just isn't a breakfast food.  I quickly whipped it off the table and replaced it with the "proper" breakfast condiments.  And why is that?  Why do we eat certain things for breakfast, certain things for lunch and again, certain things for dinner?  Isn't that programming?  You bet it is.  Programming and ritual.  Now some will immediately come forth and say, 'I eat whatever I want in the morning, and in the evening.'   As true as that may be for some, (and usually it means there is nothing else to eat, or the person is too lazy to stock up) it remains that we "know" that certain foods are for breakfast and certain foods are for dinner, and you don't eat bean salad for breakfast—you just don't.

And that is how easy it is for the rulers to make the sheeple accept their pronouncements on "how things are" and their solutions.  And they know without any doubt, that their solutions do not have to work (they really never do), they only have to be accepted.

In the changing of political attitude, I made a decision some years ago to forego holding a passport and also, not to travel by airline.  I know that if the vast majority of the unthinking just had a glimpse of the power they hold by practicing this simple (and legal!) form of non-violent non cooperation, that the idiotic searches at airports and borders would become forgotten history overnight.  But the confused programming of pseudo-freedom and corresponding fear of "terrorists" guarantees that the bold and ignorant fascists who have highjacked governments and corporations of Americanada will install their New World Order into a solid reality, backed by non-national mercenary forces with no qualms whatsoever about "obeying orders."  The sheeple are programmed and eager to help them do so.  Just watch how many buy those fake plastic poppies and proudly wear them.  What exactly are they "remembering" since they never bothered studying the history relating the poppy event to the wearing of its symbol?

George Orwell wrote of the New World Order circa 1984.  He wasn't wrong, just a mere thirty to forty years ahead.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident.
 - Arthur Schopenhauer -

(And I would comment that... by the third stage, it is too late!)

A shrewd assessment on the effects of lack of awareness and sensitivity. Is it too difficult for beings to become self-aware because it's too awful?

I detest being called 'Liberal', for I remain more conservative than 99% of those around me. I am proudly a 'Tree Hugger' of noble and ancient trees and forests, but allow some cutting of trees for lumber and paper--if replanted.

Orwell was right, and proved it when he broadcast War of the Worlds and the sheeple panicked. Thoreau knew that sheeple led 'desparate lives.

Excellent write, Reg.

Much wisdom here and fair warning. Daylight savings time is lunacy, and airport security an oxymoron. I would never eat bean salad for breakfast but not because I'm indoctrinated. I was eating homemade breakfast burritos long before the food chains set out their pathetic offerings. And sorry Tom I love cold pizza for breakfast, and sometimes a pork chop wrapped in a paper towel. The CHP would probably write me a ticket for that infraction, you know distracted driving. Patrick

How very true your words are and I must say that the world today is not a safe place and back in the forties was such a more magical time. People had respect for others and respect for themselves most of all. Sad to say that has become lost. My mother (Grandma) use to tell me all the wonderful stories of that era since I did not enter this cruel world until the late sixties. I loved hearing of how men opened the car doors for a woman now they might kick you out of the car. It was nice hearing how you could go roller skating and then walk home afterwards without having to look behind your back. Those were truly the good old days and so glad of my grandparents to introduce me to such a fine world and instill all the goodness. To this day I listen to Englebert Humperdink as they do not make music like that also. Times have gone down hill. A very good write indeed and to add, it use to be love thy neighbor now it has become watch out for the neighbor . To add, I like beans too and my favorite is actually a southern dish called soup beans, lol Take care.

The boots will be coming to get you my friend, you can't just go about willy nilly enlightening everybody, "They" are listening, you are a marked man, especially should you actually eat that bean salad for breakfast. I had to laugh, for I think like you, and I too, like bean salad, and at the very end, what pops up, but a poppy. I had just encountered a long burning issue with me, the news, that someone actually thought of wearing a white poppy instead. The hullaballu ,the legion of brave soldiers and veterans are up in arms, yet as you said, no one really appreciates the history of it. I have for years refused to wear a poppy, for the simple reason, that I could not wear it for my dad, at that time an enemy soldier.
I could not in good conscience, support of memory glorifying victory, over the hated enemy. The hated enemy my dad, he hated war as much as anyone I know, but his life like a million other innocents subscripted on either side. Would they for just once had remembered his sacrifice, then, I would proudly wear a poppy, but instead it seems to me, gloryfying war under the guise of rememberance, is a knife in my back, and that of millions of confused sheeple. I'll wear a white poppy for the innocence of all poor soldiers, and in appreciation of the peace they resolved, and maybe send a message. All this brings me to your brainwashing part finally, this being a big part of it, education, or propaganda, manipulation, kills millions of innocents every year, and perpetuates our misery forevermore. Thank you again for your insightful dangerous enlightenment, Blessings! Jasmin Horst

Regis, few individuals have either recognized this concept or have failed to internalize it if they have. "The new world order" folks that are an outgrowth of WWII socislists have been quite successful with employing this system and forcing their will throughout educational systems around the globe. It is their most effective tool at shaping change and perception among masses without violent upheavel. It is gradual, begins when the individuals are very young and receptive to all they are told. And continues into college or university. I am pleased to see that others have also recognized the brainwashing. Thanks for stimulating my aging gray matter my dear friend. Love and peace to you, Jon Michael

Hi Reg:
You hit the nail on the head, my friend. Well stated! Humanity has so many inviting options these days. Technology is our crowning glory and is at once a monster loosed on the earth to feed into resource exploitation. The apparent effect of this is to grow ever larger numbers of human beings -- who then feed their "needs" back into the circle of consumption/exploitation. A relatively few bright inventive minds feed their wonders to a waiting mass of receptors who consume and egg on the inventors with remunerations, etc.

There is no mind to control this beast. No species (to my knowledge) has ever had the foresight to willfully control their numbers. Only when the numbers run up against shortage (of food, water, habitable climate, etc.) do they turn around -- only an eventual exhaustion of available resources will bring it to a conclusion.

And speaking of conclusions, I've come to the conclusion that post-human representation will be a dirty layer of amalgam coating the earth's contours at a specific depth from the current surface -- a sort of time-keeping (the time of humans) that will be covered by an accumulation of clean dirt after we're gone, just as the time of the dinosaurs and other historic earth phenomena are layered.

I don't see much that can effectively be done by those who take a longer view except to grimmace and hunker down to endure the carnage as best we can. There are few but deaf ears out there.

So optimism reigns supreme! LOL!

Best regards,
Leland

REG - WELL DONE! VERY PROFOUND!

Herein you mentioned EDUCATION and TIME ... and HISTORY ...

Just Sunday evening, my Lady friend, Pat, and I were watching an old movie on cable. "The Body' starring Antonio Banderas - a female Archaeologist had discovered some BONES that other Scientists had DATED as 32-33 BCE ... she didn't know what that meant - I explained ...

Historically, for many many years now, we 'Earthians' have SET our Calendar Timeline on the Basis of 'One Solitary Life' - that of JESUS CHRIST (Super-Star) ...

From His Death, documented by Roman History, 'in the Time of Pontius Pilate' - we arbitrarily 'backed-up' 33 years, and said: "VOILA!" - THAT IS ZERO ... anything BEFORE is
called BC - 'Before Christ' and anything AFTER is called AD - 'Ano Domine' - Latin for 'Year of our Lord!' The entire 'Civilized' Western World has used this Dating System and basic Calendar for Hundreds of Years!

However, some time in the more recent Past, someone (who? - who cares?) - got the 'Bright Idea' to CHANGE the lettering system - THUS, the 'Scientific' world began using anything BEFORE ZERO to now be BCE - 'Before Christian Era' and everything AFTER is now CE - 'Christian Era.' Simple enough, but different!

Granted that a few other 'Earthian' Cultures, like the Chinese, and the Hebrews, and perhaps a few others, still maintain their own ANCIENT Calendars - perhaps Technically?
But, I'll 'Bet a Dollar to a Donut' that when it comes to PRACTICAL purposes, like: World Trade, Economics, Science, et cetera ... they use our Same 'Western' Calendar!

So, now that 'Halloween' is O'er ... and 'All Hallows' or 'All Saints Day' has passed, along with yesterday, November 2nd, 'Election Day' as well as 'All Souls Day' (to Catholics) ...
The 'EDUCATIONAL' media has already announced the Beginning of the 'OFFICIAL' SHOPPING SEASON!

Thanksgiving Day and CHRISTMAS DAY (that arbitrary date assigned to CHRIST'S Birth) are rapidly approaching - TIME to 'Change Gears' and get into the 'Programmed' SHEEPLE Mode!

Yes, REG - EDUCATION Is a Wonderful Thing!

OH - almost forgot - FOOD Programming - I DO LOVE MY PIZZA ... but NOT for BREAKFAST! My kids used to pull it out of the Fridge, and gobble it up COLD!

I SHUDDER to even THINK of such an Act!

PEACE ... Tom.

Much food for thought here Regis, I myself do not mix news with food. It makes me so sick to watch it that I cannot view the TV and eat at the same time. An old comedy show or soft music makes the evening meal go down nice and easy. In fact, I rarely watch the news at night because it may keep me up just thinking about it. I think they got it all wrong Regis - I think it will be a new world dis-organization!

Peace, love and blessings,
