Various poetic techniques are used in this rare book of poetry which helped me overcome depression.

In this unique book of poetry many true stories are told. By using various poetic techniques the author creates heightened imagery which allows the reader to feel a vast array of emotions. It contains love poems, funny poems, as well as spiritual poems which have been called inspirational and has helped me overcome depression.

The ballad ‘I Owe You’ is a love poem which repeats the refrain: “I need you. I love you. I praise you. I thank you.” It is delivered in feminine and masculine rhyme and is a song of praise to God.

‘The Rendezvous’ could be considered a love poem but incorporates various poetic techniques such as alliteration and allegory as in the refrains: “Felicia my friendly feline” and “render this righteous rendezvous”. The entire poem can be taken literally but has a symbolic meaning as well.

The Breadth of Love by Justice Jones has the ability to transcend boundaries and touch people from different aspects of life. It is a book of poetry that contains heart-felt emotions which are experienced by all people. The poems are truly representing a pendulum that spans the breadth of life and love.
