WORDS that Jump off the Page.
Use highly descriptive adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and dynamic word phrases. Words that Leap off the page and Strangle the Optic Nerve. Olfactory, feel-touch, taste, and auditory words, stimulate excitement.
Keep a list of your favorites. Here some of mine to get you started.
Sunset and Sunrise - always visual.
Putrid Necrotizing flesh – Olfactory gore.
Auditory Imagery – Deafening, earsplitting, and thunderous.
Taste – Piquancy, bitterness, and spicy hot.
Feel and Touch – Sensational, tactile, rough, ragged, and proprioception.
Biblical words work - Devine, everlasting, heavenly, God-given, etc.
Keep a list of Thought Provoking quotes and phrases. In spite of it's poor sentence structure, this one certainly stimulates thinking, "We don't see the world the way it is. We see the world the way we are."
