Am I a drunk?

I'm wondering how many of you drink alcohol while you write and if you think it makes you more creative? Some of my best prose is written with a slight buzz. Am I an alcoholic using writing as an excuse to drink? My latest Kindle paranormal AFTER had it's best moments under the influence. There are scenes I could never have imagined writing if I was sober. As Steven King once said, "I love Cujo, I just wish I could remember writing it." Please comment here or email me directly at:

I fully understand and relate to what you say here, but with me it wasn't alcohol but marijuana. Over the many, many years of writing and re-writing and re-writing "Becoming" there were many times when "buzzed" by a few hits of weed, I, in retrospect, wrote some of my best stuff.
