Let me share with you some Proverbs which I depend on for daily guidance and source of strength and determination to face the daily challenges.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT).
Over the years, I have noticed that many very successful people, sooner or later trip over. If not themselves, their children. Why is that.
I have also observed another group of people who grew up with Godly parents, brought up their own children also in a Godly manner. They appear to be happier and more at peace and happy. This group may not be wealthy, but they always have more than enough.
Yes, they do have problems along the way. But somehow, they are able to overcome these difficulties in a calmly manner. They have this great faith that if the Lord is with them, any good thing they do will be successful because the Lord is with them. Similar to the story of Joseph in Egypt. They trust the Lord fully.
They also firmly believe that the Lord their Creator is the Vine, the Source of everything and that they are just the branches. They have to stay connected otherwise they will wither and die.
I could go on and on. Observe your friends and neighbors and co-workers. Observe who are calm and getting ahead and observe those who are always in a rush and tense.
Remember one thing, after all is said and done, the Lord has the final say. We are just His caretakers. The house and car you have are actually His. He just lent it to you while you are here in this earth.
